What is the dress code for your wedding?
Black Tie — All Black Attire Required
Our wedding will be a fully black tie evening with an all-black dress code. Think timeless, elevated, and dramatic.
This means:
For Men
Black tuxedo (preferred) or formal black dinner jacket
Black bow tie or necktie (required)
White formal shirt
Black patent, highly polished, velvet, or other similar dress shoes
No colored jackets, no novelty prints, and no Halloween costumes
For Women
Floor-length formal gown in black, a formal black floor-length jumpsuit, or an elegant black tuxedo-style suit appropriate for black tie
Structured, sleek, dramatic, romantic — all welcome
Black accessories encouraged but not required
No prints, no color-blocking, and no patterns
The Vision
This will be an elegant evening inspired by the glamour of 1960s air travel and the iconic mid-century design of the TWA Hotel.
Imagine:
A sea of black gowns and tuxedos
Candlelight reflecting off champagne glasses
Jet-age architecture
Moody, timeless photography
The goal is cohesive, elevated, and striking. When in doubt, lean more formal rather than less.
If you are unsure about your outfit, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help!
FAQs
Where will all the wedding events be held?
All wedding events from Friday through Sunday will be held at the TWA hotel.
Is this a Halloween costume party?
No.
While our wedding is on October 31st, this is not a costume party. The dress code remains fully formal black tie.
Until the clock strikes midnight… but don’t worry, costumes will be provided.
Is there a hotel room block?
Yes. A room block has been reserved at the TWA Hotel for your convenience.
Booking information can be found on the Travel page of our website.
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony start time listed on your invitation to allow time to navigate the hotel and settle in.
Are children invited?
We love your kids—we really do. But for this celebration, we’re keeping things adults-only. Take the night off, enjoy a cocktail (or two), and celebrate with us!
